Pumps without Electricity: Irrigation Driven Pumps

Vero Beach Country Club turns to new Irrigation Driven Sump Pump to solve drainage problems.

Shane Wright, CGCS, golf course superintendent at Vero Beach Country Club, installed one of our Irrigation Driven Pumps (IDPs) to drain an area of his course where it would have been particularly expensive to run electrical service.

TDA’s Irrigation Driven Pumps (IDPs) don’t require any new electrical service. These pumps are ideal for remote sections of your course where new electrical service would be prohibitively expensive. The new pump uses the energy of the irrigation system to pump water from a sump. A typical system will pump 1.4 gallons of drainage water for every 1 gallon of irrigation water that it uses.
